Obituary for William Lee Hill
Mr. William Lee "Peter Red" Hill, 58, of 4291 Stewart Road, Jarratt, VA, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, VA. He was born January 28, 1958, to the late George A. Tucker and Alma M. Hill. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Franklin A. Hill, his brother Delander Hill, and uncle Frank Coleman. William and his daughters were baptized on September 13, 1998, at the Rocky Mount Baptist Church in McKenney, VA. He was educated in the Sussex County Public School system. He was employed by Boar's Head Provision for a number of years. He spent the remainder of his vocation as a farmer. He was an avid softball player and huge Dallas Cowboys fan! William leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Larteidra Ampey of Jarratt, VA and Demetria Green (Ocavius) of Emporia, VA; 4 sisters, Marjorie Hill, Delois Jones (Morris), devoted baby sister, Belvia Taylor (Otha) all of Jarratt, VA and Karen Sprately of Dinwiddie, VA; 2 brothers, James Hill of Jarratt, VA and Joseph Sprately of Petersburg, VA; 4 grandchildren, Deontae Ampey , Denasia Ampey, Montrel Ampey, and A'Ja Ampey; 2 uncles, John Hall (Louise) of Stony Creek, VA and Langston Hill of Petersburg, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, among them several devoted, Rosa Prosise, Curtis Prosise, Robert Singleton, Danny Prosise, and Tyson Battle. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 29, 2016 at 1:00PM from Rocky Mount Baptist Church Mckenney. The Pastor Rev. Carlos Jordan will officiate Burial will be in the church cemetery.
