Obituary for Dora Anna Walker
Precious Lord, Take My Hand. If I had wings like a morning dove I would fly away to be at rest. Momma is at rest now. Dora A. Epps Walker started her journey on November 2, 1930. She returns home on November 2, 2018. Mrs. Walker passed away at her residence 12611 Ruth Hill Rd, Church Road, Va on October 26, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents Deacon Emmette Epps Sr. and Deaconess Carrie Hardy Epps; her husband Paul W. walker Sr.; sister Deloris Epps; two brothers James and Johnnie Epps. Surviving to cherish her precious memories are her two daughters, Reverend Dora W. Gee of Church Road and Evangelist Thelma W. Stevens of Dewitt, VA; two sons Paul W. Walker Jr. and Bradley Walker(Annette) both of Petersburg; two sisters Mrs. Josephine E. Harris and Mrs Viola E. Wallace (George) both of Dinwiddie, VA; one step brother Lawrence Gholson; one sister-in-law Mrs. Ruby S. Epps of Dinwiddie, VA; 10 grandchildren, Thaddeus Stevens, Tracey S. Morgan, Raymond Gee, Rita G. Fields, Dajuan Gee, LaShawn Gee, Bradley Williams, Leekeshia Walker, Ashley W. Burks, Bradley J. Walker; 12 Great grandchildren, Akeem, Samira, Lamonte II, Bradley Jr., Keith, Raven, Tyler, Kennedy, Keshawn, Saquan, Laren and Shawn II, and many nieces , nephews, relatives and friends. At an early age Dora joined the Center Star Baptist Church where she was a life long member. She accepted Christ as her one and only Savior. She sung in the church choir and was a member of The Epps Singers gospel group. To help others along the was was her joy. She was a kind and loving person. Cooking and taking goodies to others made her happy. No was not a word in her vocabulary when it came to her trying her best to help others. If she had to have a different name it would be Love, Sharing, Caring: Momma, One in a Million Funeral services for Dora A. Walker will be held on Friday November 2, 2018 at 1:00PM at Center Star Baptist Church, 11627 Wheelers Pond Rd, Dinwiddie, VA. Dr. Jimmie L. Walker Sr. will deliver the eulogy and Rev. Howard L. Moses Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing for Mrs. Walker will be Thursday November 1, 2018 from 12:00PM to 7:00PM at the W. L. Fields Funeral Home.
