Obituary for Reno
Reno Lambert Belgrave was born on October 19, 1969, in Weisbaden, Germany at Lindsey Air Station to Yvonne Marie and MSgt. Charles A. Belgrave, Jr. He completed his journey on Monday, January 24, 2022. He was the youngest of two sons: Charles A. Belgrave, III, the eldest. Reno grew up in Maryland, where he attended Prince George’s County public schools and Prince George Community College. Upon completing school, he was employed in various industries in Maryland. Eventually he relocated to the Tidewater area where he lived with his uncle Claude Belgrave and worked at Atlantic Paper in Suffolk and Norfolk, VA. His last employment was with Amarr, Inc., as a driver until his untimely death. Reno was a diehard fashion plate. He liked to look good, smell good and ride good! He kept his car as clean as his clothes, not a speck of dust. He was a collector of athletic gear of all sorts, and he was a dedicated Washington Football Team (Redskins) fan. He loved to eat and enjoyed his Mother’s home-cooking. Reno was baptized at Oak Grove Baptist Church (Lawrenceville, VA) in 1976. While living in the Tidewater area he joined Gethsemane Community Fellowship Church in Norfolk, VA. He also attended services at Oak Grove on a regular basis. He was cherished as a loyal friend to those in Maryland in his old neighborhood, Marlboro Meadows in Upper Marlboro and new friends in Norfolk. He was held in high regard as a stand-in brother, uncle and father-figure. Reno is preceded in death by his father, MSgt. Charles A. Belgrave, Jr.; paternal grandparents: Charles A. Belgrave, Sr. and Myra Elizabeth Belgrave; maternal grandparents: Lambert Carl Martindale and Bernice Walker Martindale. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Yvonne Belgrave Booth (Alberta, VA); brother, Charles A. Belgrave III (Tabatha) (Waldorf, MD); stepfather, Theodore Booth; step siblings Sandra Agostenilli (Peter), Evelyn Cason, Ted Booth (Bridgette), Reggie Booth, Lori Dalcour (Gray); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
