On Wednesday, January 10, 2024, God dispatched his angels to open the heavenly gates to receive Wanda Malone Smith after a brief illness at the VCU Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia. She was born on June 7, 1960, to the late James and Eliza Woodley Malone.
Wanda gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was an active watch care member for many years at Shiloh Baptist Church in Dinwiddie county, Blackstone,
Virginia, and served as a member of the Shiloh Adult Ensemble. She also attended the Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Richmond,
Virginia.
Wanda graduated from Nottoway County High School, Nottoway, Virginia with the Class of 1977. She continued her educational studies at Norfolk State University and after graduating in 1982, Wanda worked at America Law Group.
In addition to her Parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Crawley and Rosa Woodley and Valton and Clara Malone; aunts, DeLois Costello Malone, Blanch Malone, and Dorothy
Jones; uncles, William Woodley, King Woodley, George Woodley and most recently, Moses Woodley.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her loving and devoted daughter, Kaylan A. Smith of Henrico, Virginia; (former) husband, Donald
Smith of Portsmouth, Virginia; a devoted cousin, Marcus Woodley; a devoted friend, Caroltine Street Bowles; a host of other relatives; and devoted friends.
