Thomas Sydnor Morgan, affectionately known as Moon, quietly slipped away in his home on Wednesday, June 25,2025. He was the third child born to Andrew and Mary Louise Morgan on March 2, 1951 in Brunswick County, Virginia. He was educated in the Brunswick County School System.
Thomas married Frances Williams Harthorne on June 7, 2014.
Thomas was baptized at an early age and later accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Thomas was very active in ministry at both Refuge Church in South Boston, Virginia and Refuge Temple Ministries in Warfield, Virginia for several years. He served faithfully with the men’s ministry, ushers, hospitality and finance ministries. He served the ministries well. It was said that he was the oldest young man one could know. He was a consistent worker doing whatever his hands could find to do. There were very few times that he was not available when called upon. He was a quiet, gentle giant that assisted any one at any time that he was available.
He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Mary Lousie Morgan, his wife of 6 years Frances Morgan.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memories four sisters, Thelma Daniel of Detroit, Michigan, Christine Morgan of Dinwiddie, Pauline Morgan of Richmond, VA, and Shirley Morgan of Chesterfield, VA; brothers Andrew Lee Morgan of North Carolina, James Morgan (Shelia) of Detroit, MI, Robert Morgan of Detroit, Michigan, and Carl Morgan of Petersburg, Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends
