Obituary for Ramon C. Jones
Ramon Cary Jones Jr., 60 years old, left this world on Monday, Oct. 6, 2014. We are sure he climbed into one of his many classic muscle cars, guitars thrown in the back and roared into heaven with brakes screeching, tires smoking and music blasting. He left an impression on everyone he met because he was one of those rare people that always spoke his mind, good or bad, but had a heart as big as the sky. He served his country, his family and his friends with honor. He was many things to many people but to those of us lucky enough to be family, knew that family was most important to him. He was the glue that held us together for many years and will be sorely missed. Fly high, Freebird, you deserve the best and we will remember you always.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Jones; three daughters, Barbara Lewis, Christy Patrick and Brandy Jones, and his son, Jeffrey Jones and their respective spouses. He is also survived by his mother and stepdad, Barbara and William Clemens; two brothers, Robert Jones and Walter Jones, and his sister, Vivian Diamond; and numerous grandkids, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, starting at 1 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 12, starting at 3 p.m. at his home, 6625 Trinity Church Road, Church Road, Va. Please bring any pictures and stories and join us to celebrate a wonderful man.
