Obituary for Quentin Tucker
Quentin James Tucker, 37, of Jarratt, VA entered into eternal rest on February 15, 2015 at the Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center in Emporia, VA He was born January 8, 1978 to the late James Phillips and Barbara Ann Tucker Williams. At an early age he confessed Christ as his personal Savior and became a member of the First Baptist Church Jarratt, VA. He was employed with TME Enterprises of Dinwiddie, VA and was previously employed with Phillingane and Sons for 9 years. Quentin affectionately known as “Big Tuck” leaves behind to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife Charlene Whitaker; two devoted sons whom he loved dearly and were the apples of his eye, Quentin Jr. and Da’Quan; two sisters, Shelma Tucker Bradshaw(Willie) and Cornellia Jackson(Joseph); nine aunts including one devoted, Brenda Prosise; seven uncles including one devoted Barkes Tucker Jr.( Connie); two nieces, Brianna and Cierra; one nephew, James Jr.; one great nephew, Zymon; mother-in-law Philistine Jones Whitaker; Father-in-law Charlie Jr. Whitaker (Linda); one brother- in-law, Ja’Vars Jones; a host of cousins including six devoted whom he considered his brothers and sisters Troy, Antonio, Gregory, Clarence Moore Jr., Pam and Quanneshia; a dear friend which he considered his brother, Aaron Branch and a host of friends too numerous to name including 3 devoted, Tyson Battle, Troy Branch, and James Phillips Sr. Funeral services for Quentin will be held on Saturday February 21, 2015 at 2PM from the Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Mckenney. Rev. Carlos Jordan, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be on Friday at the W. L. Fields funeral home from 10AM to8PM.
