She was employed with Keller Aluminum Factory, Rollic Sewing Factory, Aleen Sewing Factory and The Comfort Group and later in later years worked as a caretaker for many. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at Mount Poole Baptist Church, Ford, Virginia. A woman of faith, who was known for saying “What God has for you is for you” or "My God will fix it after a while”. If you knew her you knew she loved singing. Mary was a member of the Lovely Zion Baptist Church Senior Choir and Women’s Choir where she enjoyed singing songs of praise. Mary loved working in her flowers, cooking, talking to family and friends on the phone, sewing and caring for others. She loved her family dearly and would always put their needs before hers, a mother, auntie, friend and caregiver to many.
She leaves to cherish and is survived by her husband of 61 years Andrew W. Jackson, Jr.; Patricia Harris (Henry); Herbert and Bruce Winfield, Marvin Brown; Three sisters-in-law, Bertha Brackett, Mildred Winfield and Gertrude Winfield; One brother-in-law John D.
