Obituary for Jennie Adams
On September 10, 1953 Wilmon & Vergie Adams became the proud parents of a baby girl they named Jennie Irene. Jennie was a loving and compassionate mother, companion, sister, aunt, and friend. She was also a Christian filled woman that enjoyed singing the praises of the Lord. Jennie received her education in the Dinwiddie County Public Schools and was an employee at Heritage Hall for many years until her health began to fail. Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, Wilmon & Vergie Adams and two brothers, Thomas and Randolph Adams. Left to cherish her precious memory are her devoted companion of many years Paul Mills; two sons Shadrach and Deon Mills of Mckenney; two sisters Mary Drumgoole (Leon) and Joyce Malone (Archie); and a host of nieces & nephews who she adored, and friends including three devoted, Catherine Mahan, Katie Stokes and Annie Hicks Crowder Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 1, 2014 at 11:00AM from the Eleven Oaks Baptist Church in Dewitt. The Pastor Barry Brown will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be at the W. L. Fields Funeral Home on Friday from 10:00 AM to 8:00PM.
