Obituary for James Edward Jones
Mr. James Edward Jones (uncle Boogar) entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Eugene H. Bloom Retirement Center in Emporia, VA. James was born on May 24, 1936 to the late Allen and Annie Bates Jones. He attended the school for the deaf in Hampton, VA. He was a native and retired farmer of Dinwiddie County, VA. James was a person who loved everyone. He was also a very distinguished person who loved to fish (everywhere). James joined the Rocky Mount Baptist Church at an early age and loved going to church. He was preceded in death by his sisters Lucy Branch, Verline Procise, Cora Daymond, Lottie Smith, and Geneva Ampey; and brothers Ned Jones, George Jones, Mane Jones, Willie Jones, Robert Jones, and Issac Jones. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and faithful sister Barbara Phillips of Stony Creek; one sister-in-law Ella Jones of Emporia; devotd nieces Sarah Jones (Kendel) of Stony Creek, Betty hardy (Ricky); one God-daughter Amlekeya Taylor, and a host of nieces nephews, cousins, and friends Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 30, 2015 at 2PM from the Rocky Mount Baptist Church Mckenney. Rev Carlos Jordan will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be on Wednesday from 10AM to 8PM at the W. L. Fields Funeral Home and at the church 1 hour prior to the service.
