Obituary for Faith Mars
Missionary Faith Mars transitioned from this life to her Eternal reward on June 25, 2017. Born on March 13, 1966 in Newark, New Jersey to Ethel L. Adams and the late Ernest L. Adams. Her sister Connie Adams and her niece Tamiko Stewart preceded her in death. At an early age, she dedicated her life to the Lord at the Wells Cathedral Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop Chandler D. Owens of Newark New Jersey. She attended Bellville High School where she participated in Track, Baseball and Volleyball. Music also gave her great joy, she played the Violin as well as the Clarinet. It was after attending East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania that she met and married William T. Mars III and to this union they were gifted with two daughters. Later on she moved to Virginia where she began her career in the Mental Health field; at Central State Hospital then transitioning as a Behavior Specialist at the Southside Virginia Training Center and The Visions Family Services. Faith was a beautiful person inside and out. She enjoyed travel, art, music, movies, reading and butterflies. Faith was a faithful servant to the Lord as a prayer warrior an usher, soloist, choir member, pastors aide, hospitality, publications and as a missionary. Standing on the word of God, She was unshakable and unmovable. She was dependable, trustworthy, loyal, generous, direct, conservative, dignified, encouraging, kind, caring, selfless, non- judgemental and a confidant. Faith was a loving daughter, a phenomenal mother, a devoted sister, a doting aunt, an amazing grandmother and a loyal friend. She Passed away June 25, 2017 at VCU Medical Center; She will be greatly missed Every Single Day! She leaves to cherish her memories Her mother, Ethel L Adams, Her two daughters, Tahmara L. Mars and Tanisha E. Miller(Robert), Two Brothers, Freddie J. Adams and Ernest L. Adams Jr., Five Sisters, Priscilla Rich, Gloria Adams-Dobson(James), Tycie Adams-Stewart(Lonnie), Patricia Adams and Dinethra Sutton, Her grandmother, Mother Ollie Mae Williams, Three Grandchildren, Xavier G. Mars, Tobias K. Miller and Thomas t. Bland, Three Uncles, Johnny Williams, Larry Brown and Milton Williams, Four Aunts, Angela Churchill, Lois Wrice, Betty Brockington and Joyce Wrice, Ten Nephews, Matthew Adams(LaAngela), Austin Rich, Kwaski Adams, Clarence Adams, Lonnie Stewart, Ernie Adams, Travis Adams, LaValle Adams, Jimmy Adams and Robert Sutton, Four Nieces, Kendra Adams, Latosha Adams, Angel Fussell, Adrienne Adams. A host of cousins, friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday July 5, 2017 at Truth and Deliverance Ministries, 2512 Deerfield Drive, Petersburg, Virginia 23805, Viewing will be held Tuesday July 4, 2017 from 9am – 2pm.
