Obituary for Elizabeth M. Cooper
“Liz” Elizabeth Annette Morgan Cooper slipped away from earth to heaven on December 3, 2016 at home. She was born November 16, 1961 in Venice, Florida. Affectionately known as “Liz”, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Freddie and Alma Morgan. After graduating from Mulberry High School she attended Florida A&M University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree. Liz started piano lessons at an early age. Her voice sounded like that of an angel with perfect pitch and excellent tonality. She could hold her notes as long as she wanted to with her jazzy runs and a wide range of creativity with ad libs. Liz recorded several CDs and blessed thousands in Tampa, Dallas, Atlanta, Virginia and many other cities. She was truly a gospel jazz artist in her own right. Liz worked as a Legal Secretary, music entrepreneur and actress. One of her hobbies was cooking. Before her passing, Liz took great care of her sister in law, Mary Cooper. Liz had sincere intentions of joining Piney Grove Baptist Church to serve in any capacity God chose to use her. She was a born again child of God, filled with the Holy Ghost, saved and sanctified. Liz was always friendly and loving having a kind word for everyone. Her loving kindness and joyous spirit kept those around her laughing. Her presence is sorely missed by all who knew her and she will never be forgotten. The heavenly choir has received a “special” singing angel, holding her notes as long as she wants, and ad libbing to the glory of God. Her musical talents can be googled at Elisheva Morgan. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents Freddie and Alma Morgan and brother, Julius. Liz is survived by her husband James “Al” ; one daughter, Ethel Gallmon of Tampa, Florida; two sons, Jonathan Morgan and Eric Gallmon, Jr; three sisters, Brenda, Karen and Kim; three brothers, Curtis, Todd and Bruce; two grandchildren, Mariah and Demaurion; one sister in law, Mary; two step children, James(Shantell) and Chanda; seven step grandchildren who loved her as their MiMi and a host of nieces, nephews and friends; a very close friend, Ida Walker and cousin, Dottie; two aunts.
