DeLois Malone, affectionately known as "Costello " of Blackstone, VA (formerly of McKenney) was born November 17, 1929 in Dinwiddie County to the late Valton Gustavius Malone and Clara Octavia Johnson Malone. DeLois passed suddenly on April 28, 2023 at her residence in Blackstone.
DeLois was baptized at an early age at Shiloh Baptist Church in Dinwiddie County and served on the Usher Board for many years. She was a member of the Gospel Chorus as well.
DeLois graduated from Dinwiddie Training and work at Fort Pickett, and Craddock &Terry for many years.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Valton and Clara Malone, a sister Blanch Elizabeth Malone, a brother James Edward Malone and sister in law Eliza Malone.
DeLois leaves to cherish her memories a niece, Wanda Smith of Henrico Va, and a great niece, Kaylan Smith of Henrico Va,
Ruth Harris of Ford,Va; Rev. Jesse Stevens (Sophonia),Yolanda Stevens, Deborah Gore of Washington DC; Amber Angel of Florida; Herman White, Jr. (Shearol), Gwendolyn Bailey (John), Joyce Berry, Ruth Brown, Dorothy Kent, George Cooper, Cornelius Cooper, Helen Brown, Dorothy Hall, of Maryland. And a host many cousins and friend
Graveside services will be held on Thursday May 4, 2023 at 11AM at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Dinwiddie.
