Obituary for Clyde Crowder
Mr. Clyde Windell Crowder of 9375 Mangum Lane, Jarrett, Virginia 23867 departed this life on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the VCU Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia.
He was born June 15, 1954 to the late Pauline Crowder and Solomon Hill. He was preceeded in death by two, sisters Nancy Jones and Annette Ampey, five brothers, James, George, Lawrence, Russell and Kenneth Crowder, A father-in-law James Crowder.
He received his education in the Sussex County School System. By profession he was a farmer, however he did work at factories the Purdue Poultry processing plant and TME Enterprises until his health began to fail.
Leaving cherished memories to his loving wife Alma Laverne Crowder. Two sons Travis Windell Phillips (Melainee) and Clyde Donnie Phillips. Five sisters, Virginia Branch, Ethel Crowder, Audrey Crowder, Mary Daymond (John), Paulette Pulliam (Ricky) and Thelma Reese (Billy). Three brothers, Willie Jones (Edith), John Crowder (Evette) and Melburn Hill (Mary) and a host of Uncles, Aunts, Nieces and Nephews including two devoted Lashelle Crowder and Marcia Crowder and a devoted friend Edmond Curley .
Funeral services for Mr. Crowder will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 1PM from the First Baptist Church in Jarrett, Virginia with the Reverend Cashawn Parker officiating. Viewing for Mr Crowder will be on Sunday from noon to 8PM.
