ALPHONSO CARLISLE FISHER, affectionately known as “Al”, slipped into eternal rest on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at his residence in Richmond, VA. The eldest of 5 children, he was born on June 16, 1949 to the late Jonathan Fisher of McKenney, Virginia and the late Bessie Brown Fisher of Rawlings, Virginia. At an early age, he received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and was baptized at Lovely Zion Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School Teacher while a teen. He continued to learn and develop a deeper understanding of the Bible in his adult life while practicing as a Hebrew Israelite. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Seconda Dionne and one brother, Raphael Carlton Fisher, Sr.
Al was a naturally gifted singer and musician that played many instruments. However, he was most notably known for his love and mastery of the bass guitar. He was also a committed Washington Redskins fan. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend.
