Obituary for Albert G. Johnson
Albert Gregory Johnson, age 89, quietly transitioned from labor to reward in Connecticut, on February 15th, surrounded by his family. He was born July 2, 1932 in Mckenney Virginia, to the late Elnora Johnson Smith.
At the age of 19 Albert moved to Bridgeport Connecticut, where he worked for the Bridgeport Brass Company for over 40+ years and even transferred to Seymour Specialty Wire Company and worked there until he retired. His faith, belief in God and kind spirit attracted people to him. He loved fishing, hunting, playing cards, baseball and enjoying his family.
Leaving memories of a life cherished to: wife Arnetta Johnson; his daughter Lisa Johnson-Holloway (Glenn) Farmington, CT; step children Kevin E. Swinney Bridgeport, CT; Kim Outlaw and Brian Outlaw Atlanta GA; granddaughter, Lauryn Holloway, Farmington, CT; two sisters, Mary Alice Hawthorne of North Port, Florida and Cassondre C. Smith of McKenney, Virginia; a brother James “Red” Johnson of Mckenney, Virginia; brother-in- law Wilbur Tucker Sr., Mckenney, VA; sister-in-law Rev. Wanda Wallace-Tucker; predeceased by his sister Frances Johnson Tucker Mckenney, VA, a host of family members, cousins, friends and all of whom will hold him forever in their hearts and memories.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday March 19, 2022 at 12:00PM at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Wanda Wallace-Tucker will officiate. Obituary courtesy of the W. L. Fields Funeral Home, Mckenney, VA.
